Our social service is whanau driven and is tailored to meet the individual needs of each whanau.

(For whanau who have Tamariki/Rangatahi under the age of 17)

We have two qualified social workers who are empathetic, supportive and skilled in a variety of areas. We will visit you in the comfort of your own home or an alternative environment of your choice, to discuss your needs, assist you to identify your goals and develop a plan to achieve positive outcomes. We will continue to support you during your journey including advocating and assisting you to access specialised services if required to achieve your goals. 

Some of the issues that we can support you with are:

  • Financial pressures (access to Financial Mentoring)
  • Parenting Education –  one to one  (see Te Ara Tiki O Nga Whanau Parenting Programme below)
  • Relationship issues or relationships between parent(s) and children
  • Family violence and abuse
  • Coping with stress and pressure
  • Coping with alcohol, drugs and addiction within the whanau
  • Cultural issues – addictions within the whanau
  • Household management

Te Ara Tiki O Nga Whanau Parenting Programme.

Te Ara Tiki O Nga programme is  delivered on a one to one basis in the home. It is specifically designed to address the particular issues that you may need support with.  It is a fun and interactive programme suitable for parents who have Tamariki/Rangatahi under the age of 17.

  • Where are we now, where to next









 Counselling is available as a component of our social services.  We are able to link you in with a qualified and experienced counsellor who will have the expertise matched to your particular need.
